So Our Kids Could Find Work In Jerusalem

Since 2012, Made in JLM has transformed Jerusalem into one of TIME Magazine’s Top 5 Emerging Tech Hubs.

Despite this progress, the city still faces significant challenges—particularly in offering enough junior roles for its talented graduates.

We’re dedicated to advancing Jerusalem’s economy by attracting global companies, nurturing local startups, and developing vibrant innovation centers.

The Mission: ensuring every graduate can build their future right here in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is Israel’s largest academic city, home to nearly 50,000 students. Yet fewer than 300 entry-level tech jobs open each year. Young talent often spends nearly a year seeking their first professional opportunity.

Many diverse communities—including Haredi, Arab, East-Jerusalem residents, and new immigrants—remain underrepresented in tech. Without junior roles, startups struggle to scale, and larger companies look elsewhere.

Strategic Focus Areas (2025)

At Made in JLM, we focus on solving strategic issues. Our current focus areas are:

Attracting Large Companies

Increasing the presence of large global companies in Jerusalem is essential. Currently, the city sees only one major company arriving annually. Our goal is to accelerate this to 2–3 each year.

Large companies bring sustainable jobs, invest in local talent, and drive economic growth. They create an ecosystem effect, helping startups scale, retain talent, and ensuring lasting prosperity
