Made in JLM manages ~ILS 2M today, started about 10 years ago with a humble 20K and doubled almost every year with no Covid or Wars :)
How do you make money? (2025)
In 2024 and 2025, most of our funding comes from large project-based donations, with funding from services and government (previously 80% of budget) seeing significant decreases due to the Oct. 7 war.
Does the city support you?
Some Made in JLM projects receive significant city support including projects in education, employment, culture, and diversity.
Direct support for Made in JLM’s core economic development mission has been close to non-existant most years, at about ILS ~50K/y (20-40x less than budgets for similar organizations in other, much smaller cities, despite having more success and impact)
Where does the money go? (2024)
Most funding goes to running courses (tech education), events & tours (culture), information, and projects to promote tech, innovation and science in Jerusalem.
