Progress
Made in JLM has so far doubled its annual revenue every year except for COVID (2020-2021) and the Oct.7 War (2023-2024).
From humble beginnings (3 years volunteering and 20K in 2015), it took us ~10 years to reach our first million in annual revenue (2022), 3 years to cross 2M, and then crossed 3M that same year.
How do you make money? (2025)
In 2024 and 2025, most of our funding comes from large project-based donations, with funding from services and government (previously 80% of budget) seeing significant decreases due to the Oct. 7 war.
Does the city support you?
Some Made in JLM projects receive significant city support including projects in education, employment, culture, and diversity.
Direct support for Made in JLM’s core economic development mission has been close to non-existent most years, at about ILS ~50K/y (20-40x less than budgets for similar organizations in other, much smaller cities, despite having more success and impact)
Where does the money go? (2024)
Most funding goes to running courses (tech education), events & tours (culture), information, and projects to promote tech, innovation and science in Jerusalem.
